Robin Greenspan, is essentially "married" to her girlfriend, Lacie Harmon, whose relationships don't seem to last past one night of passionate sex. They meet when they are cast to play lesbian lovers in a Los Angeles stage play. Flamboyant stage director Gabriel directs the actresses through a series of rehearsals designed to "bring out the intimacy" in each performer.
